No, it’s not Mother’s Day, her Birthday and no, I didn’t do something really bad and now I’m trying to make up for it, I just want to tell you about the most beautiful, incredible woman ever! Sometimes I think, “How is it possible that SHE is MY Mom?!” I’m going to do my best to tell you about her but I’m not sure if anything I could ever write will do her justice.
Not only is my Mother insanely beautiful but she’s smart, talented, a great Mother, daughter, sister, employee and friend. Everything she does, she excels at. Currently she works four different jobs (seasonally), In the spring/summer she works at a farm/greenhouse, the winter she works at a tree farm, full time as a township clerk and FULL time as a wife and Mom. I don’t know how she does it all! 🙂 She fell in love at twenty to the best man God could have given and she is faithful, loving and caring…..her role in their marriage has taught me so much about being a good wife and about the real meaning, deep meaning of walking out loving someone daily. My Dad and Mom! Despite the many different situations that surrounded her growing up, she has learned to forgive when it’s tough, bite your tongue when you want to scream, and trust that God’s knows best when you think you have it all figured out. Her faith is an inspiration to me every single day! She is a prayer warrior and she has radical faith in her Creator.

If I sit silent for a few minutes, I smile thinking about the past 19 years I’ve known her and all the laughs, tears, and memories. Someday, I hope I can be half the woman, wife and mother that she is every day.

Mom, I love you!

  1. Kelsey,

What a tribute to your mom.. She is a wonderful woman. Often as I see her walking with your dad, I wonder where does she get the energy to do all that she does. She is a excellent role model for all of us. What an honor for you to call her MOM..

  2. How awesome…it is so nice to see how you have matured with everything in life. From your walk with Christ to your relationship with your parents. Please know we all are praying for dear Kelso here in Michigan.

    Love you girl!!
