I was made to…
What really was I made for? What is it that I was made to do? What is my purpose here?
At different times in our lives we question our purpose here on earth and what we were made for. I too have encountered these questions and looked to my Father for the answers. So if I may offer some encouragement to those of you with questions of your own. Here’s is what I discovered…
I was made to offer my body to God. – Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.
I was made to praise the Lord. – Romans 15:11 And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and sing praises to him, all you peoples.” – Psalms 63:4 I will praise you as long as live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. – Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.
I was made to bring honor and glory to God in EVERYTHING I do. – Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him. – Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord not for men.
I was made to put my hope in God. – 1 Peter 3:4-5 Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy woman of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. – Psalms 32:18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
I was made to share the word of God. – 2 Timothy 1:8 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. – Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”
These are just a few things I was made for, things that WE were made for.
“God, I seek to understand what these things mean in my life. What does it mean to love and worship you? As I continue on this journey of, I ask that you would reveal to me the areas that I fall short in and how to improve in accomplishing the task of walking out just exactly what I was made for.”
Kelsey,

Love you much,
Mom
