Well it’s been almost two weeks now that I’ve been here in Georgia and so far so good! I am excited to say that the drive down from Michigan was good, no major problems except for getting lost in the North Georgia Mountains but we eventually made it. It was a hard goodbye with my parents, first child leaving and all so I know it was even harder for them. I’m doing well and even though I miss them I am excited about what God is doing and is going to do in my life this next year! I have a great support system to keep me going when times are hard! The CommLife House!

So the details….well I am working in the development department at AIM and I love it! My supervisor is great and Ali, the other girl in the department is great to work with also. I’m able to use skills from my last job at the law/accounting firm so that makes things great that I’m not completely lost in the whole job transition. An about my housemates… there are nine girls (soon to be ten) and one guy. I am getting to know each one of them and I can already say that I am blessed to be spending the next year with them!

I think I’ve found the church I want to go to, it’s called International House of Prayer (IHOP) and I feel a strong call there. The prayer and worship are amazing; you can really feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.

All else is going well, still trying to get into a routine but that just takes time. I am blessed to be here in Gainesville and here at AIM, even though obedience can be tough at times, in the end it’s all worth the joy we receive from serving God.
